Adoration

What is Eucharistic Adoration?

Understood simply, Eucharistic Adoration is adoring or honoring the Eucharistic Presence of Christ. In a deeper sense, it involves "the contemplation of the Mystery of Christ truly present before us". During Eucharistic Adoration, we "watch and wait", we remain "silent" in His Presence and open ourselves to His Graces which flow from the Eucharist. By worshiping the Eucharistic Jesus, we become what God wants us to be. Like a magnet, The Lord draws us to Himself and gently transforms us.

Perpetual Adoration at Holy Family Parish

Holy Family is blessed to have perpetual adoration (24 hours a day 7 days a week). All are welcome to adore Christ between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. For security reasons, only registered adorers have access to the adoration chapel between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

Registering as an Official Adorer

We still need additional adorers for unfilled time slots during the week as well as periodic substitutes. To register as an official adorer you must be a registered member of Holy Family Parish or another local parish. To register as an adorer, please contact the Head Coordinator, Mary Joan Nash, at HFKAdoration@gmail.com or call 425-827-4207. If you would like to register as a parishioner at Holy Family, please contact Carol Frost at Carolf@hfkparish.org or call the parish office at 425-822-0295.

If I sign up for regular Adoration, what is my commitment?

Registered adorers make a commitment for one or more hours a week. They also commit to finding a replacement if they cannot make their regularly scheduled adoration time. An extensive list of substitutes is provided.

What if I can't commit to a regular time slot?

Anyone can come to the adoration chapel between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. You can also sign up as a substitute adorer to be a resource for regular adorers in need of a one-time replacement. As a substitute you are able to specify the days and hours you are available.
